Rainer Will Miss 2006 Season

Houston Texans linebacker Wali Rainer will miss the 2006 season due to a broken left ankle. Rainer, the backup to Sam Cowart at middle linebacker, suffered the injury during practice on Sunday.
The Texans placed Rainer on injured reserve on Tuesday and signed Saleem Rasheed.
